A501 Marylebone Road – Footway Improvement Works

Transport for London (TfL) has appointed Ringway Jacobs to renew the footway surface on the A501 Marylebone Road between its junctions with Edgware Road and Enford Street in both directions as shown on the map below.

Why are we doing this work?

The footway along the A501 Marylebone Road is in a poor state of repair and requires replacing. We have arranged the work into a suitable amount of phases to reduce the amount of disruption caused.

The works will bring benefits to pedestrians by eliminatingcracked slabs and trip hazards. Once the works are completed this will also reduce the need for future large scale maintenance of this footway.

What times will the work take place?

The works will begin on Monday 15 October 2012 and will last approximately 3 months, or until the work is completed. In agreement with Westminster City Council, the working hours will be from 08:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 12:00 on Saturdays and 09:00 to 12:00 on Sundays.

Work to the footway immediately in front of Abercorn School (between Lisson Grove and Harewood Avenue) will take place from Monday 22 October – Sunday 28 October 2012 to coincide with the October half term.
